Overview
- What: Business Innovation for Sustainable Growth
- Where: Stockholm
- When: April 28-29, 2010
We hope you enjoyed Globe Forum Stockholm as much as we did. You were the reason the forum was a success and together we got the crowdsourcing the future movement going...
A Trillion Dollar Business Opportunity
The world has spoken; an increasing temperature will have a dangerous and unacceptable impact on the climate and on our lives. With the current temperature increase the world is already confronted with serious challenges, and it is likely that we will have even greater challenges as the temperature continues to rise. The safe temperature limit is difficult to define but the world community has settled for the goal to limit the temperature increase to two degrees.
You can view the full selection of pictures from the forum here:
Day 1 and Day 2
To achieve that goal the worlds global additional investments needs to reach $430 billion (0.5% of GDP) in 2020 and $1.2 trillion (1.1% of GDP) in 2030, according to the Internal Energy Agency Executive Summary 2009, World Energy Outlook. While the world is waiting for the political response, we at Globe Forum will actually act and respond faster and more profitably to the opportunities and challenges of climate change.
At Globe Forum 2010 we will pay extra attention to how business and innovative solutions can help the world stay below the 2 degrees increase in global temperature. We will translate the Global agenda and present viable solutions in sustainable energy that can be adopted by cities and regions all over the world. Focus will be on business opportunities in Solar Power, Nanotechnology and Green ICT.
Innovator's Contest
One of the highlights of our forums is the Onstage Innovator’s Contest, where 10 selected innovators whose solutions have a positive impact on the environment present their company in 60 seconds. The innovators will also reply to questions from a Panel of Experts and the audience. Apart from being a really dynamic and engaging feature to take part in, the contest actually increases your chance of finding new investors and customers amongst the very qualified Globe Forum audience. The best performance will be rewarded with the audience prize, consisting of a participation in all international Globe Forum meetings planned in 2010.
